Recently I thought about my favorite sales movie. Oceans 11. "Wait...that's a sales movie?" I think so! Danny Ocean goes around and sells a lot of people on participating on a dangerous mission that could land them all in jail or dead. Tough sale. 

I then had a second thought, there aren't a lot of movies that are directly about our profession. The ones that are most notable, think Glengarry Glen Ross, cast our profession in a negative, pitch heavy light. 

But...the pitch is dead! Trying to find the right thing to say at the right time to close the sale and saying that thing to every person you meet is a fools errand. Sales, unlike acting in movies, is not about memorizing lines. Let's talk about what you should be focusing on instead.
